Every time you click Go!, ImagePress shows a standard macOS folder picker so you can choose exactly where the processed images go (Desktop, Documents, an external drive — anywhere you have access). The chosen folder is opened in Finder once processing finishes.
When you launch ImagePress for the first time, you start a free 7-day trial with full access to every feature. The trial start date is stored securely in your Mac's Keychain. After 7 days, the app shows a paywall and you can unlock the full version with a one-time in-app purchase (no subscription). Processing already-saved files continues to work — only new processing is gated.
When the trial expires, ImagePress shows a paywall with a single Buy ImagePress button. Tapping it opens the standard Apple App Store purchase sheet for a one-time unlock — no subscription, no auto-renewal. The purchase is permanent and tied to your Apple ID.
Sign in to the same Apple ID on the new Mac, install ImagePress, then click Restore Purchase on the paywall screen. Apple's StoreKit will sync your entitlement automatically.
No. ImagePress processes every image locally on your Mac. There are no servers, no cloud, no telemetry. The only network connection is to Apple's StoreKit for verifying your in-app purchase.
Input: JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, TIFF, GIF, AVIF, and any other format macOS can read. Output: JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, TIFF, and GIF.
If you cancel the folder picker (Cmd+. or Cancel button), nothing will be processed — that's intentional. Click Go! again and pick a destination folder this time.
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the ImagePress purchase, and request a refund. We don't have access to your payment information.
ImagePress requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. It is a Universal Binary (Apple Silicon and Intel).

ImagePress does not collect any personal information. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or any form of telemetry.
All images you process with ImagePress are handled entirely on your device. Your files are never uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third party. Processed images are saved to the folder you choose via the standard macOS folder picker.
ImagePress stores a small amount of data locally on your Mac:
This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
ImagePress uses Apple's StoreKit framework for in-app purchases. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or purchase receipts beyond what is necessary to verify your license status on-device.
ImagePress does not integrate any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or tracking. The only external dependency is libwebp (an open-source image codec by Google), which runs locally and makes no network connections.
ImagePress only connects to the internet for verifying in-app purchase status via Apple's StoreKit. No other network requests are made by the app.
ImagePress does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

ImagePress is licensed, not sold. By purchasing the in-app unlock you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use ImagePress on devices signed in with your Apple ID. The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The developer is not liable for any data loss arising from use of the app — always keep backups of your originals. Apple's standard EULA also applies and takes precedence where it conflicts with these terms.
